I just installed this today. Everything went fine with the install. However when I try to access the http page...I get the following when using google chrome as my browser

my IE browser gives me an http 500 error
any ideas?

Hi rexar, welcome to the forum. Let's get some basics:
1) did you get a normal completion message after the installation that everything was ok?
2) did you install as QSECOFR?
3) do you have a VALENCE21 library on your system and is there anything in it?
4) do you have a /valence-2.1 ifs path on your system and is there anything in it?
5) do you have a VALENCE21 Apache server instance installed and running?
6) what OS level are you running?
7) are you using the correct path of http://[your_IBM_i_ip_address]:7021/valence/vvlogin.pgm to login to the portal?
8) if everything above is ok, are there any joblogs for user QTMHHTTP that would indicate problems with the startup of the VALENCE21 server instance?

Yes i did get a normal completion message
2) did you install as QSECOFR?
I installed with my user profile which has *SECADM authority...
3) do you have a VALENCE21 library on your system and is there anything in it?
Yes there are 153 objects in the library
4) do you have a /valence-2.1 ifs path on your system and is there anything in it?
Yes the IFS directory is there...including the /www/valence21 directory and all subdirectories
5) do you have a VALENCE21 Apache server instance installed and running?
Yes the VALENCE21 apache server is up and running
6) what OS level are you running?
I am on V5r4
7) are you using the correct path of http://[your_IBM_i_ip_address]:7021/valence/vvlogin.pgm to login to the portal? Yes
8) if everything above is ok, are there any joblogs for user QTMHHTTP that would indicate problems with the startup of the VALENCE21 server instance?
No joblogs exist for the VALENCE21 apache server or for user QTMHHTTP.
